Pearl Abyss and Kakao Games announced today that the Mysteries of Summer event would be continuing in Black Desert Online. Following the positive reception of the event last year, the team decided to extend the event with a ninth questline. Prizes await players who complete all nine questlines before August 28th.
Since last week, players have had the ability to take on eight elemental-themed quest lines to discover the answers and hidden treasures of the Mysteries of Summer event. This week, Pearl Abyss is adding a ninth line titled A Tale of a Fallen Kingdom that will conclude the seasonal event.
It doesn’t end at just completing the quests, though. Like Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One, it’s a race to see who can unravel the mystery the fastest. Prizes will be handed out to the fastest player in each region to complete all nine quest lines. The grand prize winners will receive the Horse Emblem: Nightmare Arduanatt and 150,000 pearls. The top ten runner-ups in each region will receive pearl rewards.
Don’t worry if you don’t make the cut because everyone who completes by the following week’s maintenance will receive a special pink “Soul” title for their character. Everyone who completes by August 28th will receive Advice of Valks +70 and a Fine Accessory Box II.
