Black Desert Online Disabled Node Wars to Fix Major Issues, and Reminds You to Claim J's Hammer This Week

Pearl Abyss is working to fix Black Desert Online’s Node War issues after disabling the feature until Wednesday. If you haven’t completed challenges to get J’s Hammer of Precision, they’re reminding you that time runs out with this week’s update.

Yesterday’s Node Wars event on the European servers were plagued by a number of issues. Some of the issues were more severe than others, and Pearl Abyss went ahead and disabled all Node Wars until they could get to the bottom of the issues and fix them.

This was the first Node War that featured two new modes, Occupation and Construction. They warned of issues affecting Construction, but ultimately just canceled the whole thing to work on fixes.

Some of the issues encountered involved monsters just not disappearing, the assemble function not working once the war started, and even a glitch that meant that “every guild was considered defeated as soon as the Node War began, causing it to end instantly”. From these issues, it's pretty understandable that they decided to just call time on it for now, and so Node Wars won’t be available through Wednesday, at minimum.

To help make it up to players,  those who participated in at least one node war between November 15th and November 22nd we'll get some rewards. they will be awarded during the November 28th maintenance.

The November 28th maintenance is also important because it looks like J’s Hammer of Precision is going away. According to a post on social media,

“These bad boys will be deleted during the Nov 28, 2024 (Thu) maintenance ????

All related challenges will also be removed.

Please use/claim the item from the Challenge (Y) before they're gone!”

So if you haven't gotten your hands on one yet, now's your chance.

When J’s Hammer of Precision was released, it made Enhancement less risky, and we’ll have to see if Pearl Abyss plans to offer anything similar later.
