Black Desert Online’s latest update opens up the new Yzrahid Highlands monster zone, adds the War of the Roses main questline, new Academia costume, and continues streamlining some of the items and features to improve the player experience.

The new monster zone is designed to be high risk, high reward. Accessible by the new Southern Ulukita passage, the area is for high-level veteran players, with a recommended AP is 310 and DP of 420. The monsters here should present a challenge, and this is the spot to obtain some unique items as well. The main loot includes Kabua’s Artifact, Flame of Resistance, and more, like Kabua’s Fragment.

The largest monster in the zone is known as Seculion, and it’s a different kind of beast. It functions like an ark, summons weapons, stores energy for the others, and can self-repair. This monster is one of the ancient weapons that have been safeguarding the Highlands and recently discovered. It’s a good idea to focus your combat on the Seculion and learn its attack patterns since you don’t need to be as mobile in this zone.

War of the Roses is almost here. The main questline has been added. Choose from two crossroads paths: O’dyllita or Kamasylvia and complete one at a time to also earn a new title. There's one throne and there are two successors, and this will be decided in numbers. You don’t need to complete the quest to participate in the main event though. War of the Roses will have guilds appointed on the weekend and everyone else can apply for Third Legion spots on a randomly assigned side. Ultimately, there will be up to 300x 300 battling it out during a two hour period on Sundays.

Pearl Abyss has also added a new outfit, Academia, which would fit a Scholar or even one of your other classes.

The team continues working to simplify some mechanics, including the Life and Vitality Crystals system, which are now going to be unified instead of divided by content types. This is one of the ongoing quality of life improvements Pearl Abyss has announced.
