Pearl Abyss has a few big updates for Black Desert Online, including a brand new territory out today on PC. Black Desert Console is also having a fourth anniversary celebration.

Ulukita, the new territory in Black Desert Online is in South Mediah. Known as “The Exalted Land”, the new region features dense, rocky, desert terrain. There are two new monster zones with a number of new monsters to fight. Both of these are designed to be high level zones for those who are ready to go,  geared up, and ready to take on challenging enemies in rocky terrain.

Tungrad Ruins and City of the Dead are the two new monster zones. Pearl Abyss isn't kidding  when they say they are designed for high level players. the recommended AP is 310 and the recommended DP is 380 for City of the Dead, with AP 320 and DP 410 for Tongrad Ruins. With new monsters and new challenges, you'll also need to be prepared to learn new strategies and absorb the new mechanics in order to get through.

Of course, these new zones will feature some brand new rewards. and you can earn yourself items like “Origin of Dark Hunger” and “Essence of Hunger”. There's also a brand new treasure item, Lafi  Bedmountain’s Telescope.

While the Black Desert teams have been increasing flexibility and options, including with recent expansion content, Land of the Morning Light, this new region is very much for those dedicated high-level players looking to explore and take on new challenges.

Black Desert Console is also joining in with its own fun. Marking four years since the game debuted on PlayStation, there is an anniversary event beginning today, featuring a login campaign where you can claim free items every day through September 6th. There's also a login campaign for new and returning players.
