Black Desert Online has opened up a new Arsha: Anonymous server (alongside the original Arsha server) in its latest update. The update also brings events, balance changes, improves Black Shrine bosses, and adds the promised Arena of Solare custom matches.

The new Arsha: Anonymous server has a different set of rules. Everyone on it is “Hardened Adventurer” and only those in a party (or if you talk in chat) will know your name. Even if you belong to the same guild, you won't know that just by being out there. This is essentially “ an atmosphere solely focused on freely engaging other adventurers in combat”. Pearl Abyss is opening this server up this time and will see how things unfold, and whether it will grow as the server where people looking for pure PvP will flock to.

Black Shrine bosses get overhauls to improve the experience based on player feedback over the past several months.  Mechanics have been adjusted, with some of the changes consolidating boss attacks to deliver more damage per single hit, but reducing the number of overall hits. Others correct animations and match them properly to the effects. Imoogi gets a few adjustments to its attacks, including making breath attack one hit, with slightly reduced damage.

On a related note, some Great Ocean boss monsters have had their HP reduced greatly.

Overall, all these adjustments seem to shake things up a bit for those taking on the challenges but also making them more straightforward and easier to strategize for.

The update also opens up several events, including a new fishing event. If you get lucky and reel in some Gizzard Shad, you could sell for up to 30 million silver. Get those fishing poles out through December 20th. Another event is the Wintertime Warmth Challenge. Spending time playing BDO will reward you with items based on how many minutes you play through December 20th. Rewards include 200 Loyalties, and Someone’s Sack, which comes with the chance for Black Gem fragments, Advice of Valks, and more. Finally, there’s a mysterious box, “Someone’s Box” left at Finto Farm. Go explore and see what it is. Getting your hands on the box and opening it up will reward you with a bunch of items.

Finally, Arena of Solare custom matches are here. This lets you enjoy the arena with only those you invite. Through the menu you can choose a custom match, create it through the UI and directly invite anyone you want, then assign the teams.

More details over in the full patch notes over at Black Desert Online.
