Black Desert Mobile Adds New Memory Type to Improve Drop Chances and Opens Five Events

The latest update for Black Desert Mobile is here, adding a new grade of Memories, beginning several events, including a server quest collective event, and some additional improvements.

The change to Memories is meant to help these play their intended role. Primal Memories have improved stats over the previous highest level, Abyssal Memories. The Abyssal Memories were harder to loot and obtain otherwise, so the new type has been introduced and will be more readily available. You can get the Primal Memories from monster zones (but not Chaos Rifts) and have a chance to get one (or an Abyssal Memory) when appraised. Chances to get a Primal [Unknown] Memory are still lower than Abyssal [Unknown Memory] by this method, but you’ll be guaranteed to get a Primal Memory with appraisals now.

As far as “Unknown” details, those stats are to be discovered, but the team advises that “it's a net gain since you won't have to worry about getting a Unique or Epic Memory”. Pearl Abyss will be rolling out these new options over time, starting with the new Memories for helmets and sub weapons, with more set to go out with new region updates to come.

Also in the update are some fixes and a small tweak to the description of the Berserker skill Triumph. Events are going to be important here for progression and fun though. There are five different “Play BDM!” events that began with this patch and will be running through various dates this month. From login rewards to the Server Quest event, there are some opportunities to gear up and get rewarded this month. The Server Quest event is a collective server-wide event where you work with others to complete quests to receive special event coins in addition to other rewards like accessory chests.
