Black Desert Mobile's latest update has unveiled the new survival mode for up to 30 players, Azunak Arena Expedition. The update also has balance changes, fixes, and improvements, but the centerpiece is really the new survival mode.
The new mode is available starting today, in the pre-season. There are new events and Rewards accompanying the new survival mode.
So how does this new competitive team play mode work? Form groups of three guild members, with up to 10 teams participating in the Arena. Each team has to have a CP of more than 40,000. Once the match begins, you compete in real time by hunting monsters, leveling up and progressing, and eventually, battling other teams. The match itself lasts for 10 minutes, played in stages.
Everyone starts at level one, with equal stats. Level up by defeating some of the monsters around the arena, gaining XP, and in the mid game, you'll encounter other players. you’ll also likely find portals to let you move around the battlefield faster. Those portals can also lead you to powerful bosses, which give you opportunities to make off with some nice loot.
Your goal is to survive until the end and near the end of the match, a space-time distortion will put everyone together in one location for a final push. At stake are glory, team rankings on the leaderboards. Bragging rights and team rankings are determined by the total points your team members earn at the end of each battle, so survival is the ultimate goal, but what you do along the way determines your contribution. Daily, weekly, and monthly rewards for participation are up for grabs too.
Two events under the Enter Azunak Arena! umbrella are here, with the first event requiring simply participating in the arena. The second is to complete certain objectives, like defeating Azunak monsters. This overall event will run through September 8th.
