It's a busy time for Pearl Abyss' Black Desert as over the weekend the team showed off their next class coming to the MMO, the pirate Corsair.  The team also revealed when the first part of Atoraxxion drops, coming on July 21st.

During Black Desert's Heidel Ball, the upcoming pirate class for Black Desert was revealed. The Corsair, the swash buckling class, hits all platforms globally next week on June 29th with pre-creation starting on June 23rd. The MMO's latest class is free for players and wields an extendable sword and a magical orb, which Pearl Abyss states will transform her into a Mermaid.

In the combat trailer, the Corsair is in action swinging the cutlass-shaped sword and dashing around the battlefield riding the waves. The orb itself causes the Corsair to transform into a mermaid, which you can use to attack, or even just move quickly around combat it seems. You can check out the combat trailer below.

"Corsair’s main weapon is Serenaca, a ‘composite sword’ that extends in length, which is especially lethal when combined with her innate agility. Her sub-weapon is Mareca, a magical orb that grants her the ability to transform into a mermaid and crash into her enemies with the force of a powerful tsunami. Corsair will be released globally on June 29 for PC, console, and mobile, but you can get started with pre-creation on Wednesday, June 23."

Additionally, the team detailed when the first of four parts of the dungeon Atoraxxion, Vahmalkea, is dropping July 21st. Per the press release:

"Filled with epic monster battles, thought-provoking puzzles, and an in-depth exploration of the lore and story of Black Desert’s world, Adventurers will find a traditional and classic RPG experience in Atoraxxion, but with all the features that make them love Black Desert."

Finally, during this weekend's Ball, the Pearl Abyss team detailed their 2021 roadmap, with Mansions in July, a new extreme monster zone in August. Additionally a new raid will be coming in October, The Elvia Realm Calpheon & Black Star Raid.
