Black Desert Online has some changes this week, including a feature to help conquest War defense. Meanwhile, Black Desert Console has some events and announcements to lead into next week's arrival of the Mountain of Eternal Winter.
Pearl Abyss is celebrating the arrival of the new content in the console version of Black Desert with a notice that the alpacas have arrived. When Mountain of Eternal Winter arrives next week on August 7th. Everyone will get an increase in maximum character slots when the update arrives and one additional season character ticket. Once the update is live, if you start a new character, you can choose the Mountain of Eternal winter as you're starting area.
As far as events go, the chance to get an alpaca of your own is still available for competing the Fwuzzy Alpaca event quest. A perfect mount to travel around the Everfrost. There are login events, and additional ways to prepare for the coming frigid zone. Other events that last until the event comes includes the ability to face the Yeti Piku, which is spawning about every 8 to 12 hours. if you defeat the yeti within 20 minutes, you'll be able to claim some useful rewards. Additionally, there's an ongoing login campaign that will run through August 20th and offer some helpful items everyday.

In Black Desert Online on PC, the team is helping those who defend in Conquest War. There's a brand new item, the Dekrogda Relic. These create a barrier around the entire castle so that people cannot enter by air. Lahn’s air walking is one of the skill-based exceptions.
If you are one of those attacking a castle, you'll have to go and find and destroy the five relics that automatically form a barrier when the Conquest War begins. if you successfully destroy them, then the air becomes another viable option again. For defenders, it buys some time and means a concentrated pack of Dream Horses can’t be the first line. The team says they’ll keep an eye on how this affects balance.
