Black Desert Console has added Imoogi, the massive serpent boss that makes the 10th boss from the Land of the Morning Light expansion. Black Desert Mobile also has a big update, adding the new Wizard class.
The Land of the Morning Light expansion arrived on the console version of Black Desert back in July, bringing with it a new region, new non-linear story, and features inspired by Korean myths and folk tales. Among these are a series of bosses to face, and the latest to arrive is Imoogi.
Imoogi, is a giant serpent with huge fangs and some wide area of effect attacks that you have to avoid and work to destroy it in a different way from the preceding bosses. You can fight the other bosses in any order and revisit them thanks to the Boss Blitz feature, but Imoogi has some requirements.
If you have defeated all of the Tales in Land of the Morning Light content, then you’re good to go to challenge Imoogi. There is an altar in the center of the arena, but the boss will not be going easy on you. AOE attacks, along with that long tail, and the fangs and head, have to be avoided so you can try and attack that altar.
Today's update also brings a few quality of life changes, a special newbie inventory to help new players, and even adjustments to certain monster zones, making spawns happen twice as fast. A new event, “Wuji’s Gift for the Traveler of the Abyss” offers the chance, after completing a quest, to choose from eight pieces of boss armor.
Over in Black Desert Mobile, the Wizard class, Igneous Ascension, is now live. He offers powerful magical attacks and elemental damage in his kit, including ways to strategically regenerate mana and to attack fast and even repeatedly. His abilities also include a teleport he can use to get away from enemies and gain an advantage.
There are also some events to welcome the new class, as well as a login event for some rewards to help in your adventures.
