BitCraft’s current closed alpha just got a lot more open. Clockwork Labs announced that they’ve decided to open access to all.
If you don't already have an access key, you can get one and download the game. Access will be available for the rest of the test, which is set to last for at least a few more weeks.
The team made the announcement on Discord, saying
“For the remaining weeks of Closed Alpha 3, we're opening the gates and people who haven't been lucky enough to get in, can grab a key by clicking one of the DOWNLOAD buttons.
Make yourself at home in BitCraft and have fun and Happy Thanksgiving to our players from the United States!”
You can head over to the BitCraft site to get started.
This current alpha test began earlier this month, with revamped settlements, improvements to towns, and the return of hostile creatures. Those hostile creatures are in the alpha ready to eat you or be eaten if you manage to survive. Previously, testers were finding that the creatures were too aggressive and the devs decided to just halt that for a while. This is a survival sandbox and you will have to face dangers, as well as find something to eat and collect resources, so the creatures are back.
The alpha build changed settlements and made towns more public. Instead of encouraging smaller and more sectioned off interaction, the team is letting settlements grow more and become social hubs. This is with their goals to encourage people to not just play with the same folks all the time.
With these changes came things like advanced settlements as part of the progression journey.
If you’re curious about what the Clockwork Labe team has been up to with these changes, or just in general, you can jump in and see for yourself.
