BitCraft Online is Headed into Early Access in May, With Bonuses and New Features as Wishlist Milestone Goals

BitCraft Online is headed into Early Access on Steam on May 29th. Clockwork Labs released a new trailer and opened up wishlists ahead of the upcoming release.

The team has opened their Steam page and you can now wishlist the game. In their announcement, Clockwork Labs says those wishlisting BitCraft Online will get access to rewards. This is, of course, in addition to getting announcements and more updates as Clockwork Labs reveals more about the game’s development, features, and more as the countdown to Early Access formally begins.

Wishlist rewards start at 1,000 for a mysterious beta cube and  the Milestones only grow from there and include adding additional features to the game. If they get 10,000 wishlists, they'll add ancient landmarks and wonders around the world that offer new resources. 100k? Pets. At 250,000, they will unlock the ability to build platforms on the ocean and at 500,000 wishlists,  they will add a fully functional season and weather system. Keeping these features behind wish list goals is a bit unusual, as they seem more like crowdfunding stretch goals, but as the game will be free to play, showing interest at these levels may be key to feeling like they're worth development resources.

Studio co-founder Tyler Cloutier says, in a press release, "We’ve been working tirelessly to craft a unique multiplayer experience, and we can’t wait for players to start shaping the world of BitCraft together."

If you've been following development on the open-world, single-shard, survival sandbox MMORPG, then the trailer shouldn't be too surprising, since the team has been showing off player creations in the world and how they use building tools and environments to create settlements and add a touch of personality to different environments.  Still, there are peeks at things we haven’t seen yet, and hints at some of the discoveries to be made.

We can expect more devblogs and announcements now that BitCraft Online is just about two months from launching into its next phase.
