The BitCraft Online team announced that they will make the game’s code open source sometime after Early Access launches. That Early Access launch just got pushed back a bit, from May 29th to late June.

Clockwork Labs announced the date change, saying that, due to Dune: Awakening and Elden Ring: Nightreign both set to release in a short timeframe starting at the end of the month. “As fans ourselves, we understand how much attention those releases will command. A little breathing room will help ensure BitCraft doesn’t get lost in the shuffle and gives our community the space to fully engage with the world we’ve built together,” their statement says.

Now, the game will release in Early Access on June 20th. On the original May 29th launch date, a gameplay preview build will be released. Request access via Steam and, if granted, you can play a preview build for the weekend starting on the 29th.
