Loadouts are Coming - Praise Mothman

In this week’s Inside the Vault, Bethesda shows off S.P.E.C.I.A.L. loadouts for Fallout 76 that are headed to the Public Test Server next week. Being able to create and save loadouts has been something that players have been asking for since the game released, and it seems Bethesda has been listening. Now they are delivering.

The loadout system as it stands is even better than what most people imagined. The system allows players to not only swap out perk cards, but you can change all of your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats for free at your camp. Per the article:

“Loadouts, which offer the brand-new ability to reboot all of your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. points, for free, whenever you’re in your C.A.M.P. This will allow you to create and save custom S.P.E.C.I.A.L. point allocations and Perk Card assignments, and then switch between them."

That isn’t the only thing headed to the PTS, the ability to build multiple camps, with their own budget, name and unique map icon is also a feature headed into the game. This opens up a lot of possibilities for players who want to build multiple camps to mine materials, or place vendors in high traffic areas. More than likely we’ll see additional camps built around the most popular Nuke Drop Sites.

In addition to these killer features, Bethesda will also be testing aim-assist for controller users, batch crafting, melee attack improvements, and a world activity update menu, all headed to testing before inevitably releasing into the live game. These awesome changes are hot on the heels of the latest Inventory Update, which provided players with more stash space, and some other neat quality of life features.

For those looking to get back into Fallout 76, this weekend Bethesda is running their first Scrip Surplus Weekend, which will give you the ability to trade legendary items in for double the normal amount of scrip. The event concludes February 1st, and only 300 scrip can be earned each day, so get out there and farm some legendary items!
