Six days after making the initial announcement on seasons coming to Fallout 76, Bethesda has finally clarified that, yes, seasons will be free for all players.
The original wording from the initial announcement caused confusion amongst players when it stated (emphasis added),
“As mentioned above, you will be able to take part in our inaugural Summer Season for free as soon as it begins with Update 20.”
This led many to believe that only the Summer season would be free, and the Fall and Winter seasons would not be free. However, Bethesda sent out a tweet this morning clarifying,
“To clarify, our Seasons in Fallout 76 are going to be free for all our players. We may add extra Fallout 1st bonus rewards in the future, but want to focus on getting Season 1 in game first and seeing your thoughts.
Sorry for confusion on this.”
Again, we’re not sure why it took Bethesda six days to clarify something rather important like this, however, we can now know that seasons will remain free for all players.
