The beta service for Star wars galaxies has been extended too 250 people. Q-3PO ( one of the mebers of the dev team) has this to say:
* We’ve increased our numbers again. Yesterday we sent out more beta invites. Our current number is around 250 people. We may increase this even more during Beta 1, but the real numbers still won’t come until Beta 2 and 3. For those “playing the odds” I’m afraid the number of Beta Applicants we currently have has increased significantly. Sufficed to say, we are still well below the 1% mark. *
All in all there isn't a real chance of getting into the beta until test 3 where they'll be reaching the 10'000 mark which will probably adverage at 1% chance of getting in 
.
Well id rather they take there time with it then mess it up........
As it still set for a november release i think were in for something very special....
Lets just wait and see.
