Become Nicolas Cage in the Dead By Daylight Public Test Build Ahead of The Chapter's Launch

Dead By Daylight is becoming a home to the fictionalized version of Nicolas Cage following a big announcement this spring.

Behaviour Interactive has announced that players can enjoy becoming this version of Nic Cage on the game’s Public Test build over on Steam. In this incarnation, Cage is on set and his performance has summoned The Entity. First, this isn't good news, and The Entity is a malevolent creature and this fictionalized version of Cage is thrust into Fog and tasked with surviving the killers that reside there.

The actor worked with the development team to record all of his voice lines, get involved in his appearance in the game, and to work with the team on lending more than just his looks and voice to the project.

With his arrival in Dead By Daylight, this is the first time that a real public figure will be in the game. A series of new character perks will let you become him–and use some of those legendary skills.

The first is called Dramaturgy, so you'll be able to take over in “moments of heightened intensity”, as described in the official announcement. The second is called Scene Partner,  and this can give you a distinct advantage when you stare at the Killer and get an insight into their process. If you take advantage of this, you might be able to get an idea of what their next move might be. The final perk is called Plot Twist, and sounds both fun and still mysterious until you try it.

According to the official description, “ Players will use their second-to-none acting ability to get deeper into character than ever before, making a bold decision that’s as risky as it is rewarding”.

If you play Dead By Daylight on Steam, then you can check out the upcoming content chapter on the Public Test Build and find out just what all of this means, before its retail launch on July 25th on PC and console.
