Today is the day. Baldur’s Gate 3 will release at 10a PT across PC, Stadia, and Mac on Steam and GoG.
In case you missed it, make sure your system is ready for Early Access. The recommended requirements include:
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- Processor: Intel i7 4770k / AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB / AMD RX580
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 150 GB available space
If you don’t meet those, here are the minimum PC specs:
- OS: Windows 7 SP1 64-bit
- Processor: Intel i5-4690 / AMD FX 4350
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GTX 780 / AMD Radeon R9 280X
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 150 GB available space
Yesterday, it was surprise-announced that the game will hit Mac at Early Access also at 10AM PT. You can read that announcement here. As for what’s included in Early Access, here’s what you can look forward to:
- 20 – 25 hours’ worth of content
- Multiplayer available, but no split screen (for now)
- Custom Characters will support 6 classes and 9 races
- Combat, Dialog, Characters and Spells/Actions have increased mightily over previous Larian games
