Baldur’s Gate 3 patch 6 is officially live. The update’s marquee feature are improvements to smooching with your companions, a fitting upgrade given that we celebrated Valentine’s Day this past week.
That’s not all the update brings, however. As with any major update to Baldur’s Gate 3, developer Larian Studios has included a bevy of bug fixes and other improvements.
As far as kissing goes, the update includes unique kiss animations for each of the game’s characters, better emphasizing their personality. Kisses are randomized and range from romantic to intense. Larian also touts improvements to kisses for shorter and taller body types. Endgame cinematics have also been improved to highlight the connection between player characters and their partners.
The update also adds new idle animations for companions in camp. Instead of just standing around some companions can be found doing things like sharpening their weapons or other behaviors.
Larian’s also addressed a “deluge of player-reported issues” in patch 6 with a fix for Shield Bash among other things. There are also new Legendary Actions for bosses in Honour Mode.
