The newest hotfix for Baldur’s Gate 3 fixes some pesky crashes including the Flaming Sphere crash.
The crash fixes are threefold and include:
- Fixed crash when the Flaming Sphere erupts after player fails the Ornate Mirror riddle.
- Fixed occasional crash during the cinematic that happens after tutorial / using the transponder.
- Fixed crash when riding up the elevator in Druid Grove after a bear eats a fish.
This hotfix follows the recent release of Patch 4 which brought with it the Druid class. The Druid comes equipped with several spells including Entangle, Flame Blade, Moonbeam, Produce Flame, Shillelagh, Thorn Whip, Barksin, Destroy Water, and more.
Patch 4 also brought about several general improvements like usability upgrades, and balancing changes. Be warned, this new patch invalidates previous save files. Fortunately, Larian Studios detailed how you can continue playing on the Patch 3 branch here.
If you’re playing Baldur’s Gate 3 post Patch 4, hopefully these hotfixes addressed some of the persistent crashing issues for you.
