Larian Studios has released patch notes for Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix 30, which includes some fixes to cross-play, among other things. The full patch notes aren’t the longest, and can be found on Steam, but we’ll break down some of the most stand-out bits below.
Arguably, one of the most detailed sections concerns cross-play for Baldur’s Gate 3, with Hotfix 30 fixing loading screen bugs, users getting stuck at 0% loading, lobby issues, timeouts that bring players back to the main menu, and overall cross-play stability. While not significant to those only interested in single-player, these fixes will no doubt alleviate some of the frustrations of playing across platforms with friends.
Other fixes include issues concerning the mod manager, photomode, the user interface, general gameplay, scripting, and the new subclasses — specifically the Way of the Drunken Master Monk and the Warlock Hexblade. Both subclasses were introduced through the April 15, 2025 update, which marked the final major update for the wildly successful CRPG.
