After being delayed from its tentative August Early Access release, Larian Studios has announced today during its "Panel From Hell" livestream that Baldur's Gate 3 will be hitting Early Access September 30th.

Early Access is nothing new to Larian, as many of its successful games in recent years have received the EA treatment. Baldur's Gate 3 will hit EArly Access on PC and Google Stadia, bringing with it the first act of the Dungeons & Dragons based RPG. Larian took to the panel to compare the size of what BG3 players can expect compared to previous Early Access ventures such as Divinity: Original Sin 2

Baldur's Gate 3 will features 80 combat encounters compared to Divinity: Original Sin 2's 22, while BG3 will have over double the dialogue lines versus Larian's premier RPG. Additionally, Larian confirmed today that the Early Access will have five Origin characters - Baldur's Gate 3's pre-built characters - as well as the ability to customize your own. The full roster of classes and races to play in the Forgotten Realms adventure will be announced closer to the launch date.

Be sure to check out the full panel below, which also includes the conclusion of its now almost 6 minute long CGI trailer setting the mood for the upcoming sequel to one of the most beloved PC RPG franchises in gaming history.
