During the Xbox Games Showcase 2024, we got another look at the upcoming RPG Avowed, but Obsidian Entertainment has yet to give us a concrete release date.
During the new story trailer, we meet one of the four companions Giatta, who is attempting to uncover the mystery of the Dreamscourge that is destroying the region. The creatures of these once vibrant lands have been overtaken by some form of plague that turns their bodies into massive fungal growths and manipulates their minds.
Three different characters speak to us during the trailer including the Emporer, Inquisitor Lödwyn, and of course Giatta. It appears that choices matter, as there are allies you can choose to align with or destroy depending on what you feel is best.
Though we got more information on the story we will play through, we still have no clue when the game itself will be released, as the release timeline given is still simply “2024”.
