'Atlas' Video Leaks from Studio Wildcard - It's a Pirate-y Seafaring First-Person Game

Studio Wildcard slipped up over the weekend by revealing a trailer on the ARK: Survival Evolved YouTube channel. The trailer, "Atlas", shows a new game seemingly in development by Studio Wildcard that is a decided departure for the company. It features first-person seafaring action with players controlling pirate ships on a search for treasure and taking on the undead denizens of the locations they're exploring.

While the company pulled the video off the channel fairly quickly, it was not quick enough. More than a few folks captured it and posted to alternate channels.

According to Comicbook.com, "the trailer previews Atlas as a game that might find itself somewhere between Rare's Sea of Thieves and Ubisoft's upcoming Skull & Bones".

No word has come out from Studio Wildcard about the snafu, but speculation is that we'll hear more at Gamescom later this month, or perhaps at PAX.
