Aston Microphones announced this week that the second round of voting has begun for their new microphone, the Aston Element. In celebration of this milestone, the company has revealed the first-ever picture of the upcoming mic and, we think you'll agree, it's unique.
The Element is the world's first "People's Microphone." Based on Aston's unique panel-based design process, the company is inviting real-world users, like yourself, to engage in a blind listening process, choosing the best sounding mic across several categories. This took place in the first round with vocals and acoustic guitar and the Element has been re-voiced based on the feedback.
With round two, available now, that process continues, dropping out the worst-performing mics and pitting those that remain against each other once more. This process will continue until the Element is voted the best microphone based on user feedback.
The process is unlike any other in the recording industry and gives users a unique chance to help craft the next tool in your content creation arsenal.
