Stunlock Studios is offering a free V Rising weekend (for five days) on Steam in case you haven’t yet taken on a new vampire survival adventure, built your castle, and even confronted Dracula himself.

The free play weekend will be a little longer than the weekend, beginning on Thursday, September 12th, at 10:00 a.m. Pacific through Monday, September 16th at 10:00 a.m. Pacific. If you want to try the game out, just log into Steam during that time to download and play.

If you’re heading into Vardoran, you’ll get to experience content through the 1.0 update, and this includes everything from starting your new undead life as a vampire, learning to survive and hunt, and eventually start building your own castle. Experienced V Rising players can invite friends to join in during the event, whether on a custom or official server.

Take on various quests, explore the various zones and learn more about them, and progress your own skills and expand your capabilities.

The open world will be yours to explore, and there are dangers within, ancient enemies, and even the threat of discovery. Your castle will be your base of operations and you can build your resources and your clan, raid other castles, defend against  enemies who might want to take over, and even a mass power within the realm.

You probably aren’t going to get enough time within the free play event to construct the most impressive, cultivated multistory castle and show Dracula that you’re ready to face him in the endgame, but there's still plenty to do in the dark, gothic fantasy world.

If the taste from the free weekend does appeal to you, Stunlock Studios is offering a 30% discount on V Rising, as well as 20% off all DLC. This includes cosmetic DLCs and the Legacy of Castlevania premium pack.
