It looks like World of Warcraft streamer Asmongold pizza’d when he should have French fried as he dove into Final Fantasy 14 for the first time over the weekend and found himself met with a…horde of players waiting for him.
As noted by PC Gamer, it looks like the WoW streamer Asmongold got more than he asked for when he tried Final Fantasy 14 for the first time over the weekend. He was met with a fairly large contingent of players as soon as he exited the intro space and entered the first public area.
You can actually see his reaction below. The initial reaction of it led to Asmongold laughing good heartedly, and you can kind of see why. The chaos of various effects going off in the immediate landing area in a game you’ve never tried before can create a frantic melee of sorts.
According to PC Gamer, this continued throughout his stream including into a second stream in which Asmongold finally looked fed up by a certain large whale mount. However, some FFXIV GM’s took action and banned said player for, “harassment violations.”
It’s understandable Asmongold would get frustrated with players following him around during his first excursion into FFXIV. While no doubt some folks may have been excited to see their favorite streamer try out a new game, it’s equally not out of the realm of possibility stream sniping griefing may have also taken place.
In other FFXIV news, patch 5.57 went live late last month which brought changes to Shadowbringer’s endgame grind. Additionally, be on the lookout for a Producer’s Letter for July 9 later this month.
