Ashes of Creation has been on an arduous journey since its inception. The game, developed by Intrepid Studios, has garnered a significant following of gamers that have been eagerly awaiting each development milestone, and the announcement of the next Alpha phase. Many have speculated that Alpha 2 is just around the corner, but Intrepid has put that speculation to rest, stating that the game is set to enter its Alpha 2 phase in 2024, pushing testing outside of this year, and marking another significant step in its evolution.
The Ashes of Creation journey began with a Kickstarter campaign in 2017. The campaign was a resounding success, with the game raising over $3.2 million, far surpassing its initial goal. Several years following the Kickstarter success, the game entered its Alpha 1 phase. This phase started on July 14th of 2021. During the multitude of tests, the developers gathered essential feedback and made necessary adjustments, while expanding what the game offers ahead of Alpha 2.
Recently Intrepid Studios went so far as to show off some of the gameplay that Ashes of Creation players can look forward to during the next Alpha phase. It’s also important to note that Intrepid just ended their Preorders for the game. That means that players that want to get into Alpha 2 will not be able to buy their way in, as they may have previously been able to during Alpha 1.
