In case you missed it, Intrepid Studios, the developers behind upcoming MMORPG Ashes of Creation, announced recently their Alpha One test is now ending on August 15.

The team made the announcement on Twitter earlier noting the Alpha One test is set to conclude on August 15 at 6p PDT. This follows the beginning of their Alpha One which began back on July 14. This means this current playtest will run for just over one month’s time.

If you’re currently in the alpha, do note the NDA was lifted, allowing sharing of content and experience. This follows the partial lifting of the NDA where the verbal NDA was lifted but the visual NDA was still in place.

We had the chance to jump into the Alpha One Preview which ran during the weekend prior to the Alpha One Playtest proper. We came away impressed with the world, while understanding what was present with respect to combat, questing, and more were placeholder. You can read out impressions here.

More recently, Intrepid Studios continued their ongoing Guild Gathering series in which they asked the community how they resolve conflict within their respective guilds. Quite a few of you responded in our comments. You can read the article and your responses here.

Earlier in July, the team announced they were now enforcing account ownership. This means Ashes of Creation accounts are non-transferrable and as such cannot be sold, traded, gifted, or transferred for any reason.
