Fans of "rogue-lite" action RPGs will want to check out the latest Square Enix 'The Collective' title called Moonlighter that headed to KickStarter yesterday and has already surpassed its initial funding goal of $40K. The game's protagonist, Will, is a simple shopkeeper with big dreams to become a legendary hero. Each day he takes on the denizens of a nearby dungeon that he sells in his shop to keep the coffers full.
Moonlighter has a dual nature. At its core, it is an action rogue-lite game: focused on combat, looting and exploring dungeons. But, the only way to get stronger, is to sell the items found on the dungeons and wisely invest the money on shop upgrades, new equipment, etc.
Moonlighter will be available on PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4 and XBox One.
