Today, Studio Wildcard has released another version of their popular Dinosaur survival game, ARK: Survival Evolved, on Steam, Epic, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. This version, the Ultimate Survival Edition, sees all of the expansion packs in additionto the base game in one package.

In addition to the Ultimate Survival Edition, the upcoming Part 2 of its Genesis expansion, was announced today via a press release to be releasing on June 2nd. This creates what Studio Wildcard calls a "narrative bridge" between ARK and ARK II, which was announced last year during The Game Awards.

"On Wednesday, June 2, the ARK saga concludes with the launch of the ARK: Genesis Part 2 expansion pack that promises to be a narrative bridge between the current game and its recently announced sequel, ARK IIARK: Genesis Part 2 introduces a massive contiguous world filled with strange new biomes, story missions, and exotic creatures. This final confrontation between the sprightly HLN-A and the deranged Sir Edmund Rockwell takes place on a gigantic colony ship traveling through deep space, and players will need to use all their ARK experience to survive."

For those looking for some talent in their narrative as well, ARK: Genesis Part 2 will see David Tennant of Doctor Who fame join the voice cast as Sir Edmund Rockwell, as well as Madeleine Madden taking on the role of AI companion HLN-A/Helena Walker.

ARK: Survival Evolved is winding down its narrative on the original game, which released into Early Access originally back in 2015, seeing a full 1.0 launch in 2017. Since then the survival game has gone on to launch on every major platform, from Xbox One, PlayStation 4, even Nintendo Switch, with a Google Stadia version planned for this year. ARK II will star Vin Diesel, and is in development alongside an animated cartoon spin-off of the series.
