Fans of the game ARK: Survival Ascended are enraged once more due to a recent tweet from the developers stating the server transfer feature are being delayed yet again.
This is the third time the release has been pushed back, and this most recent delay has fans more upset than ever due to the reason behind it. The developers stated,
“An Update on Transfers
Unfortunately, sever transfers will need to be delayed until Wednesday, Feb 7th. Integrating player-created custom cosmetics and the new modding framework into the upcoming update took longer than expected.
We apologize for the delay!”
Now, a slight delay normally would be understandable, especially a feature of this size, but fans are more angry at the fact that it is due to them dealing wth custom cosmetics and not the many known bugs and glitches within ARK as a whole. One person commented,
“Do you really think cosmetics are the priority? The game is full of bugs and still poorly optimized. You really need to think about reviewing your priorities. You haven't even found the solution to remove the Christmas event as a mod yet.”
This seems to be the thought process on the entire thread, as players are wondering why they would delay the release for a third time due to cosmetic items. Initially, the Server Transfer feature was said to be implemented on January 24th, 2024, but the devs doubled back and stated it would be finished on January 31, 2024.
That, of course, did not happen due to more delays. Now, fans are eagerly waiting to hear when the next launch date for the Server Transfers will be, and one can only hope it will be sooner than later.
