Following numerous delays, ARK: Surivval Ascended, the next-gen remake of ARK: Survival Evolved, has finally launched on Xbox and PC platforms.
Unfortunately, PlayStation 5 players will need to wait just a bit longer, as the PS5 version is now set to arrive in early December.
ARK: Survival Ascended introduces key features such as cross-platform multiplayer, allowing for tribes across multiple platforms and even adds support for PC mods on Xbox. Underneath the hood, ARK: Survival Ascended is powered by Unreal Engine 5, offering enhanced visuals, gameplay improvements such as new physics systems and a building revamp, a completely re-written codebase, and artwork completely redone by hand for the new engine. Players will have access to all ARK worlds and Studio Wildcard has committed to ongoing content updates, DLC, QOL updates, and more.
Multiplayer options include 70 player online multiplayer on public servers, private servers for 8 players, and local split-screen for 2 or 4 players.
Additional features include a new photo mode, new camera and map systems, intelligent pathfinding for creatures, wild babies, a dino tracking system, and more.
ARK: Survival Ascended is available now on Xbox Series X|S and Steam for $44.99.
