The time has  arrived for ArcheAge and ArcheAge: Unchained to merge into a single experience. The decision comes after Kakao Games asked for community feedback on merging the two, and internal analysis and preparations made over the past couple of months. The changes will be accompanied by a series of events to help everyone get started in the new ArcheAge, in particular helping players who might have been affected by some of the merges  although the company worked to minimize lost items.

This big change also occurs along with a celebration to mark the second anniversary of Kakao Games taking over publishing for the ArcheAge franchise. Event begins today and runs through December 21st. Claim a special free gift box from the marketplace, then come back to get the next tier gift box. Items you’ll get include progression boosts Manastorm Crystals, and more. There's also a special second anniversary coupon and a discount event, all to get you some free gifts for the anniversary.

As for the merge, now that the work has taken place, it’s time to look into the near future. Land Rush will open up tomorrow at 13:00 CET for the EU region and at 1pm PDT for North America. There are a whole bunch of merge advisories that if you have characters impacted by the changes, whether or not your account was active at the time of the merge, it's important to go through and see how any character or item you have might be affected.

Kakao decided to  set up some events taking place around the merge after community feedback came in about intervals being stagnant and concerns over progression. There are several events that will take place starting today into early January. Weekdays,, there will be 2.5x XP boosts Across several gains, and on the weekend the boost goes up to 3x. On the weekend, there will be a bonus of a doubled loot drop rate.
