A new Dungeons & Dragons RPG is being developed, per a tweet by Hidden Path Entertainment looking for developers to join the team.
In the tweet, Hidden Path announced they were hiring for developers to work on what they are describing as a "AAA, third-person, open-world fantasy RPG" set inside the Dungeons & Dragons universe.

Developer Whitney Beltràn confirmed on Twitter that the game is real and she'll be working on the D&D game as its narrative director (via her Twitter bio).

We don't know anything really other than was announced here in the tweet itself, but it's interesting to see another game effectively announced in the Dungeons & Dragons universe. The Dungeons & Dragons universe is seen in multiple currently released titles - including two MMORPGs in Dungeons & Dragons Online and Neverwinter - as well as many projects in development. Baldur's Gate 3 just updated its Early Access RPG with Druids being added, and we know a new game set in the Icewind Dale region is in the works by Wizards of the Coast, titled Dark Alliance.
This also comes at a time where Wizards of the Coast is seeing massive growth for both Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering, with both games becoming focus points for future revenue for Hasbro, Wizards' parent company.
