The New World: Aeternum relaunch and console debut is coming October 15th. In order to prepare to welcome new platforms and new players, including first time players, the Amazon team  recently held a console closed beta. Now, the team is sharing some details and thanking the community.

In a new post, Senior Producer Katy Kaszynski says “The critical feedback and data we received from our testers during the Confidential Console Closed Beta helps us work toward the success of future betas and ultimately our October launch. Thank you, testers!”

The console closed beta set out to test out early game content, the new tutorial, the onboarding experience, controls, as well as endgame content. For those who chose to take part in testing out the end game content, they were able to choose a pre-made character with proper gear and take part in a number of planned events to let the team see how things played out.

The full test was under NDA, so those who took part weren't allowed to share, so Amazon is sharing a little bit of info about what happened via a new infographic.

The most popular weapons during the console beta were the bow, sword, and Void Gauntlet.  As far as builds and archetypes, Swordsman was first, followed by Ranger, and Occultist. Given what the most popular weapons were, these aren't surprising.

Other details revealed include the completion of 682,371 quests during the beta, and 3 million 628,099 enemies killed. The deadliest enemy for players? Indra.

New World: Aeternum will be out across all platforms on October 15th, with full crossplay as console players join PC players in Aeternum.
