Amazon Games is thanking the community for helping test out Throne and Liberty in the game’s latest Western closed beta test and looking ahead, in addition to sharing a specialmusic video.
The closed beta test began earlier this month and ran for one week. When the test was announced, Amazon and NCSoft had announced details and a focus for the closed test. The team wanted feedback to continue tweaking things for the eventual global launch, with a focus on progression, combat, and the economy. With combat a big part of Throne and Liberty, including the massive castle sieges that have become a signature part of the game’s previews, including footage out of Korea, this was a key element of the test.
When it came to progression and combat, they shared a schedule to reveal just what they were focusing on as well as how prime time was going to go, including exploration, and helping players get the most out of their test experience by not having a level cap and assisting players with accessing all parts of the game.
In a new blog thanking the community, they cite all of these elements, as well as remind everyone that the entire test is under NDA. We’ll have to wait longer for more openness in the testing period, but with these playtests, that time gets ever-closer.
“Thanks for taking the time to explore our progression, leveling experience, economy, combat, and events. We’re excited to use your feedback and data gathered in this test to further improve the game.” To further thank everyone, they also shared a new music video from Throne and Liberty, “Oh Beautiful Star”, which was published by NCSoft and features Lithuanian musician Saulius Petreikis.
