Open beta is coming next week, offering everyone on a supported platform the chance test out New World: Aeternum. Amazon has shared details about the open beta schedule, and special rewards you can earn for the October 15th launch.
Preload for the open Beta begins on September 11th at 9:00 a.m. PT and as long as you are on a supported platform, you can download the open beta and log in when the beta starts on September 13th at 9:00 a.m. PT. This will be a cross-play beta, running on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, in North and South America, Europe and APAC.
There will be day 1 launch rewards, and you can earn these by playing through open beta. Even though this is a cross-play beta, you can only earn rewards for New World: Aeternum’s launch on the platform on which you met the prerequisites in open beta. So if you are looking to play on PC when the game launches, make sure you play the open beta on PC.
These rewards include a new title Just for participating in open beta, Aeternian Trailblazer and gear sets, with new pieces for hitting level 10, 15, 20, and 25. Open beta progression is capped at level 30.
Other stuff to do in the test includes 3v3 PvP Arenas once you hit Level 20 and the Amrine Excavation Expedition. After level 17, you can choose to join one of the game's factions. Test out the mount system and even try out Influence Races for competitive, open world PvP.
The test will end on September 16th at 9:00 a.m. PT, so you have a few days to get into Aeternum and check things out.
