Throne and Liberty’s full launch is now live, as Amazon Games opens up NCSoft’s latest MMORPG after an early access period. The free-to-play, combat heavy MMORPG, focuses on guild combat, group battles, special morphs, and huge castle sieges.
Amazon released a new launch trailer to open things up, along with some words from the teams behind this big launch. Amazon Games’ Franchise Lead, Merv Lee Kwai, welcomed players and offered a promise to continue listening to the community’s feedback even after launch.
“Your feedback was key in helping us lock in the best experience for the launch of the game. For all of you joining us in the many adventures ahead, we plan to continue the trend of listening to player feedback and diving into player data. This game is for you — and we plan to make that as evident as humanly possible.”
This statement comes following some significant feedback in recent weeks since the game’s beta testing. Throne and Liberty courted some controversy over some details in the game’s financial model details, where some feared that the auction house would serve those who were paying. This itself followed some concerns from the original Korean release, but Amazon and NCSoft have sought to reassure everyone that the Western release would be tailored to the audience, and clarifications, as well as some changes, made to address those concerns over possible pay to win.

NCSoft’s Moonyoung Choi also contributed to the launch announcement, reiterating the teamwork that went into bringing Throne and Liberty to a global audience:
“Amazon has always trusted our team, and they truly understand what global players need. For us, Amazon has been the best partner, and I'm confident they will continue to be an even better one moving forward.”
Now the game is live for all to jump into and see for themselves how well this collaboration worked.
