Tonight at a special "Unboxing" event at Twitch Con in California, Amazon Game Studios is unveiling several games. The first confirmed title is Breakaway: an eSports-driven experience focused on heroes of mythology competing for prestige and glory.
It's designed from the ground up to be integrated with Twitch, the community, the idea of sharing, playing, reveling in community clips and gameplay. They want the players and the fans to be included in design early, with an open development plan going forward now that Breakaway is revealed.
It's a Mythological Sport Brawler - Valhalla, Atlantis, El Dorado and more will be represented.
Breakaway is a 4 vs. 4 mythological sport brawler built for fast action, teamwork, and live-streaming. Assemble the optimal team from an expanding roster of legendary warriors, each with their own unique skills, weapons, and Buildables—summonable structures that can be used to dynamically alter the arena and provide a new level of tactical depth. Fight for dominance across fabled locations such as El Dorado, Atlantis, and Styx as you engage in multiplayer competition to control the Relic, an artifact of immense power. Broadcast your feats utilizing a host of new Twitch features designed to make Breakaway as fun to watch as it is to play.
