Just a few short weeks ago Amazon Games had detailed upcoming server merges for their flagship MMORPG, New World. Now they've hit their Discord and socials to let players know how they'll handle the leaderboards as Season 7 comes to an end. The merges will officially take place on May 6th.
If you weren't brought up to speed on the most recent server merges, players that currently have characters on Draco in the EU region will merge into Aries, and Rosa on the US East server will merge into Hudsonland. This is just one of several server merges that has commenced this year alone. The team has stated that to facilitate this transition smoothly, leaderboards for retiring worlds will conclude on April 29th, allowing players ample time to claim their earned rewards by the 6th.
On April 29th, retiring worlds will experience a brief server restart, during which character creation and transfers will be disabled. Players on retiring worlds will have until May 6th to transfer voluntarily to another eligible world before the merge takes place.
The team has also noted that on May 3rd, scheduled wars on these retiring worlds will be canceled, with refunds provided. As Season 7 comes to a close and merges conclude, New World players can expect Season 8 to hit live servers on May 13th, so make sure you login and claim all of your rewards and swap to your desired worlds before then.
