Alterac Pass is the New HotS Map + Yrel Heads to the Nexus

The Heroes of the Storm team has just revealed a new hero and map coming to the game. Yrel, once one of the major characters in the World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor expansion, will be heading into the Nexus as will the Echoes of Alterac map.

As expected, Yrel comes with abilities that are Paladin-esque such as Hammer of Wrath, Divine Steed and others that have been taken from the WoW Pally handbook. She is a tank class that specializes in crowd control and sustainability.

Alterac Pass, the new map, takes place in Alterac Valley, one of the iconic World of Warcraft locations and a warfront coming in the Battle for Azeroth expansion in August. Faction leaders from Horde and Alliance stand in place of traditional "cores". To claim victory, players will need to defeat the generals.

Alterac Pass will arrive the week of June 19th and will come packed with new Horde and Alliance-themed skins.
