The thirst alpha playtest of NCSoft's MXM begins later today. It comes packed with tons of improvements based on player feedback from the past events. Players can also find new characters, French / German localized versions and the new mini-games.
Mini-games can be accessed from the Dispatch screen and each comes with unique mechanics, challenges and perspectives. Masters will gain new abilities depending which mini-game they're in, most requiring jumping, moving and dodging.
Games include:
- Candy Rush - collect confectionery delights such as ice cream mortars, homing ice cream cones, donut pads, sugar bolts, etc. Collection is vital as they are the goodies that keep Masters alive
- Jump Rope challenges players to jump and avoid lightning moving around the game area
- Lightning Jumper challenges players to avoid lightning strikes and to stay off the ground by leaping onto platforms
- Tile Drop is, as the name implies, a challenge to stay topside before tiles drop into the abyss. Masters also have a special knockback aura that can sent challengers flying
- Sprint Course is basically a 2D obstacle course with jumps and verticality
- Obstacle Course that uses jumping, dodging and the need for perfect timing
- Bullet Hell challenges Masters to dodge shots, telegraphed bolts, tracking shots & explosives
- Jumper Cables is a 2D course that requires finding safe spaces
