There’s a new development update for War of Dragonox. The independent MMORPG is making progress and there are some plans coming together for major reveals in the coming months.
Creative Director Josh Caba shared the short update, saying that the work on two of the game’s classes, Chloromancer and Bombardier, have gotten far enough in development to consider both of them in their final alpha states. Other classes are still under development but are also in advanced stages. The team hopes to have all of the classes wrapped up and into that alpha level in the next month or two.
When it comes to development, there is often many times more activity going on behind the scenes than is ever visible. With an independently developed project like War of Dragnorox, this also applies, but those timelines can shift around. Many of the other systems are also coming along, like AI work and other elements of the game, but there isn’t anything else that's ready to be shown with this update. “To be straight forward, we're just not quite ready to show it all off. Trust me, we're itching to share it with all of you,” the update reads.
That desire to show things off is looking like it will pay off in a big way for those who have some patience with the team. Given the advanced development of the classes and some of the other systems, they’re moving ahead with a major presentation on the way:
“That being said, when we're ready (about 3-4 months), we're going to release a full 8 part video series that goes over everything about WoD. We'll demo gameplay, many parts of the world, discuss the design of the game and show off a full reveal of the Dungeon Master role within the game and how that impacts gameplay.”
