Albion Online's AMA Talks PvE And Hints At Potential Console Port

Albion Online hosted an AMA last week, and some of the information to come out of the event might call for a raised eyebrow or two.

Albion, which recently saw its MMO go mobile, held an AMA on Reddit, answering some of the burning questions from its community. The team talked about some of its PvE, with the devs stressing that Albion's PvP isn't the main focus of the game for the team, and that PvE doesn't go by the wayside.

"We see Albion Online as a full player-driven medieval game world, including a fully player driven-economy and the Outland continent where players fight over territory control on a huge scale. However, we would never say that "PvP is the main focus of the game" as that really depends on your playstyle. There are tons of people who mostly focus on the in-game economy, focus on PvE / hardcore PvE or just enjoy a varied set of activities together with a group of friends. Having said that, what Albion does not have is a scripted / pre-defined PvE storyline and it does really tell you what to do as a player beyond a certain point. You have to find our own place in the game world, but in doing so, you have a lot of choices."In a follow-up (as the poster pointed out that the dev team didn't actually answer the question, the Albion team stated that they are going to "deepen the PvE experience" with its next major content update "significantly" improving the open world PvE.

However, some of the biggest news to come out of the AMA has to do with its hint that a console port could be in the works.

"Eventually, it is quite likely that we'll bring Albion to consoles, but we do not have any specific plans for this yet and it almost certainly would not happen within the next 12 months."

You can check out the full AMA on the MMORPG subreddit, where the team talks crafting, gathering, and even more.
