Balance changes are here for Albion Online in its latest patch for Season 9.

The patch specifically addresses balance changes to combat in Crystal League to make those matches more competitive. The team also intends this patch to make some more underused weapons more visible. These changes include the following:

  • Updated various heavy melee lines like Hammers and Maces
  • Reworked Spear abilities
  • Updated cleanse and block spells on various armors
  • Updated move speeds and stats of battle mounts

Mobile improvements are also included as part of the patch, which largely focuses on optimizing the overall experience:

  • Joystick control improvements
  • Optimized scaling for mobile screens
  • On-press tooltips for buffs and debuffs
  • Option to ignore low-tier resources while gathering

The full patch notes are quite extensive and cover off specific balance changes to various weapons, in addition to several fixes brought about. These fixes include:

  • Fixed an issue where visual effects were missing from enchanted and overcharged weapons
  • Fixed gaps in terrain in Watchwood Precipice, Whitecliff Peak, and Drownfield Rut (NOTE: Players in these zones when the patch is deployed will be moved to the nearest exit upon re-login)
  • Visuals now more effectively show spell area for Lifecurse Staff
