Well, the banhammer has come down in Albion Online for 604 accounts who participated in third party currency purchases.

In a forum post, Community Manager Mytherceria notified the community of the bans, pointing to their Terms and Conditions,

“4.5.1 Users are prohibited from selling, purchasing, renting, leasing, offering, accepting, disseminating or copying Virtual Benefits, including Virtual Currency, within and/or outside the Game - in whatever form – to/from third parties unless expressly permitted by these Terms and Conditions or the Game Rules. [...]”

The post continued reminding the community that silver acquired from any of these third party resellers are not obtained through official means. In other words, they’re fraudulently obtained. This silver was mostly purchased with gold via stolen credit cards. Once the team figured this out, the payments were charged back and the team were in turn hit with a chargeback fee,

“Purchasing from these third party sellers actively hurts SBI and the development of the game. In addition, we strongly believe in keeping a fair playing field and stable economy in the game, and therefore, we will continue to tackle this issue.”
