Albion Online has new leadership at the top, as Game Director Robin Henkys steps down from the role after 11 years and introduces some seasoned veterans promoted from within the team who will now oversee the game’s path forward.
The latest dev video was a bit different this time, as Henkys announced the changes, announcing that his decision was centered around his family and a bit around burnout. While he will remain on the team and work on the game, he's stepping back from day to day responsibility the leadership role. “Even now, I’m working in the background on long term plans for the game, expanding the world of Albion and its backstory,” he says.
Three members of the senior design team will take over as the new creative directors. Two of them, Moritz Bokelmann and Michael Schwahn, introduce themselves in the video and talk about their experience and all the work they've already done on Albion Online. The third in the role will be Jon Craft. As this is a big transition, the team has also opened up a Q&A so you can ask the new leadership team anything you're curious about.
There will be more videos, including one to address questions that they're getting.
