Gameforge’s Aion Classic is getting ready for “Stormwing’s Revenge” with the new 2.4 update out tomorrow. Expect new challenges, a new PvP instance, and more.
Stormwing returns in the new Liberated Beshmundir Temple. You can make your way there via a hidden area in the North and using the power of an artifact and a Dimensional Fragment, get yourself to a version of Beshmundir Temple in another dimension. Get your hands on a Dimensional Fragment weekly by defeating Stormwing in Beshmundir Temple (Hard) and use it to open up your passage into this new dimension.
Make your way through this new dungeon, which is for level 55+ and up to six players, and find yourself face to face with Stormwing, who is slowly regaining strength as he is no longer simply sealed away in an ice prison. Luckily, he’s not at full strength yet, and you have a Window of opportunity to stop him before he gets out. If you are successful and you defeat him, you'll be able to loot heroic Liberated Stormwing weapons.
The update adds a new PVP instance, Arena of Glory, where four players engage in a free-for-all battle with six different arenas available. Rewards include Abyss Points and Symbols of Glory.
The Abyssal Splinter instance also arrives. In order to enter, your faction must be in control of the Divine Fortress. If that's your faction, you will be able to enter once a week as long as your level 55 and above, to take on the creatures and bosses inside with up to 12 players.
The update also adds some balance changes, including a reduction to the amount of experience required per level, to speed up progression a bit.
