Aion Classic Europe’s Dominance update, 2.8.5, will raise the stakes with a new level cap, new instances, rewards, a brand new battlefield, and more next week. Gameforge is previewing the update and what’s new to explore.
The free to play classic fantasy MMORPG will see the level cap rise to 58, and for those who reach max level, they'll be able to take part in the fight over control of a brand new location, the Alpheta Beluslan Fortress. This new Battlefield will be the site of the next big clashes over territory and dominance.
After the update goes live on September 4th, every Sunday at 10:00 p.m. server time, a new World Fortress Siege begins, opening up the fight between the Elyos and Asmodians. For PvPers, it’s a test of skill and strength. Victors will not just get rewards, but also free access to the new Tartarus dungeon also in the update.
You can complete the Tartarus dungeon once a week and take a shot at getting valuable relics. Team up in groups of 2-6 to progress into its depths. Members of the faction that is currently occupying Alpheta Beluslan Fortress get in for free, but if you're part of the other faction, you can still enter as long as you purchase entry items.
Another new instance in the update is the Wall of Lament. Groups of four can work together to defeat the Tragic Samael boss. Brainwashed by Tiamat, the boss is strong and, well, tragic, but you can still score some new valuable PvE weapons if you come out on top.
The update will also add new hero grade items to match the level cap increase, and Legion Support Coin, which you can exchange for level 20-40 accessories.
